Why I Support Savers
Reaching your financial goals through savings can be a humbling experience - especially when borrowing money is an easy alternative. In many ways this model forces you to make big changes in your lifestyle. But in these economic times, the lessons learned in this process could play a big part in bringing economic stability to our communities.
My hope is that we're supporting something that will play a part in creating financial independence for individuals across our country. A step that may lead to a transformed U.S. economy.
A little bit about me:
Originally from Minneapolis, I moved to Seattle and worked for several start-ups that leveraged open-source software. Since then I have worked for the Grameen Foundation, Viatru (a social venture that worked with artisan communities in developing countries) and volunteered as an assistant teacher for local organizations such as the Technology Access Foundation and BDPA.
