Why I Support Savers

I started the nonprofit, BrokeButNotForLong, Inc., to help veterans, persons with disabilities and displaced workers find free job-related resources, as well as provide strategies on how to deal with situational poverty during the transition from being employed to long-term unemployment.  I'm always looking for useful tips to share or ideas that inspire.  I found SaveTogether on the AARP.org Web site today when I was reading the article, "Eight Ways to Save Money."  I am the author of The Broke Blog and will tell my readers about this great organization.  I would like to save money to pay for the costs of our nonprofit.  We incorporated in April of 2009 and just started our first fundraiser this month (March 2010).  So far, I only have one small donation, so I better start saving!  Thanks for the opportunity to "SaveTogether."
