Patrick

Patrick knows the streets and he knows theater.  His dream is to create a thriving theater company that takes urban poetry from the streets of San Francisco all the way to Broadway. His Living Miracle Productions began as a touring community theater showcasing religious-themed productions, and now he is working with the homeless and supportive housing residents on transforming their poetry and stories into dramatic works that are to include sound, lighting, and dance.  Patrick himself lives in supportive housing.  His love of theater, his desire to keep himself active, and the value of the messages that are being conveyed by his troupe are what keep him dedicated to reaching his savings goal of $2,000. It gets very difficult for him by the end of the month, and he finds himself visiting the food pantries and free meals programs from time to time.  But he has stuck with it, and what seemed like an insurmountable goal - saving for the first six months - went by more quickly than he could have imagined.  He is looking forward to being able to buy a computer to help with scripts, outreach and communications, and to invest in professional production equipment.
